“Sun City indulges this fantasy of a mythical civilisation in every detail: stepping through the huge doors, you’re instantly transported back in time to a place of wonder.

Fabled to be the royal residence of an ancient king, the grand proportions and graceful towers of The Palace are enhanced by sculptural detail, mosaics, frescoes and fountains, and nestled in an enchanting setting of an exotic jungle, complete with murmuring streams and gushing waterfalls.”

Sun City offers, and delivers many opportunities and activities for a successful incentive program, below we have highlighted just a few of their unique offerings & peppered in some facts about the resort:

Nearly everything in The Palace was custom-made, from the marble mosaic floor at the entrance of the Lost City’s Palace, which was hand-laid, to the dome ceiling with rises 25m above floor level, which is an architectural feat, with its African landscape mural and the massive hand-carved timber doors.

Sun City is nestled within the Pilanesberg National Park, a volcanic crater that has many Stone Age and Iron Age sites.  Featuring the famed Big Five Game viewing.  Pilanesberg offers over 7000 animals, in a malaria free environment. Group game drives, in either 25-seater or 10-seater game viewers, are available directly from the Palace.  Experienced and expert game rangers will guide your group on an unforgettable Safari through the Pilanesberg National Park.

Get lost at The Maze of the Lost City, a modern reconstruction of a fabled archaeological discovery.  The maze covers a half-acre, offering some spectacular views of the resort. At night the maze is lit with flaming torches, evoking the Indiana Jones in us all.

For a day at the beach or an evening function on the beach, the Valley of the Waves is the perfect venue and a great value add to the group activities.  Whether you amped for the Temple of Courage or happier on the Lazy River, if you are less of a thrill seeker or more of a daredevil, there is something for everyone.

The Elephant Atrium at The Palace is a guest favourite, with the colossal 4.5m high statue of Shawu, one of Africa’s most famous elephants.

Sun City is home to two world-class golf courses, the legendary Gary Player Golf Course and the Lost City Golf Course.  The Lost City Golf Course features the famous 13th Hole, home to 38 live Nile Crocodiles.

Active teams can enjoy many amazing running trails within the resort, including an anytime, timed trail run with two courses.

What better way to experience the beauty of the surrounds than with a balloon flight over the Pilanesberg.  From the basket you will bear witness to life on the Reserve, a bird’s eye view.  This activity is a bucket list adventure your group will want to tick off.

We have showcased 8 of Sun City’s many wonders.  Sun City is a one stop destination, from Segway Tours, to Spa treatments, meetings in one of 27 conference rooms, 3 convention centres or 2 auditoriums, you can zipline, quad bike, take in The South African Hall of Fame, relax at one of the resorts many swimming pools, play tennis, enjoy a dine around meal in one of the many restaurants on site.
